YL Terminology

Virtual Office

This refers to the Brand Partnership platform of Young Living’s website.

You can access it at YoungLiving.com/vo.

Here, you can:

  • Set up direct deposit

  • View your downline (who you’ve enrolled as a Customer or Brand Partner)

  • Check on orders

In our Brand Partner Simplified platform, you'll find a course called Back Office Tools, which includes tips and resources for working effectively in the YL Virtual Office.

Loyalty Rewards

This is Young Living’s monthly autoship program that allows Customers to:

  • Create a template of items they want

  • Select an automatic ship date

  • Earn points that can be redeemed for free products

We’ll cover this in-depth later, but here are a few quick facts:

  • It’s not required, but it’s a definite perk

  • Participants can edit their Loyalty Rewards order each month (as long as changes are made before their autoship date)

  • If a Customer places a minimum 50 PV order each month, their percentage of Loyalty points earned increases over time

  • Loyalty Rewards Customers can earn extra free gifts when they place a qualifying order (see Gifts With Purchase, below)

Many people ask, “Won’t I get overwhelmed with so many oils each month?”

The answer: Young Living offers so much more than oils.

Our goal is to help people develop a daily wellness routine using supplements that target their health goals—and to replace everyday household products with safer, non-toxic alternatives (like hand soap, face wash, deodorant, household cleaner, etc.).

Gifts With Purchase

Every month, Young Living offers free gifts (like oils, supplements, or branded products) to those who place qualifying orders.

Loyalty Rewards Customers are eligible to receive additional free products when they hit those same qualifying thresholds.

These monthly promotions are shared through:

  • Email newsletters

  • Text alerts

  • Social media groups

Brand Partner

This term describes someone who has chosen to upgrade from a Customer account to a Brand Partner account and is seeking to share Young Living with others.

Brand Partners are eligible to receive commissions from Young Living.

More details on qualifications can be found in the Policies and Procedures on Young Living's website.

PV

PV stands for both Point Value and Personal Volume.

Each item in Young Living’s catalog has

  • A price

  • A PV (Point Value)

A Customer or Brand Partner’s total PV for the month reflects the sum of all their purchases.

OGV

OGV stands for Overall Group Volume.

It includes:

  • The Brand Partner’s Personal Volume (PV)

  • Plus the volume from everyone in their downline/team

Enroller

A Customer or Brand Partner’s Enroller is the person who personally referred them to Young Living.

The Enroller is eligible for Fast Start bonuses.

Sponsor

The Sponsor is a Customer or Brand Partner’s direct upline.

This may or may not be the same person as their Enroller.

Strategic Structure

You may sometimes hear this referred to informally as “stacking”, but the correct term is Strategic Structure.

Here’s what it means:

A Brand Partner has the ability to change a personally enrolled Customer’s Sponsor within 30 days of their enrollment.

This is often done to:

Place friends or family together in the same team

Strengthen team structure for rank eligibility
